I stretched and yawned and found my arms and legs colliding with my male company. I climbed over a young body and made my way to the shower.
When I came out the room was only occupied by my husband. "The boys have gone to fix some coffee," he said. "Time for us to hit the road."
Ten minutes later we were sat with our drinks in the kitchen. The lads were all in loungewear and their faces showed tiredness, contentment and love in abundance towards me.
Paul had tried to tell me that the boys would do anything for me and walk a thousand miles to see me again. I gently told them we'd never meet again. It was to be a one-off which we'd all remember forever.
We walked to the door and my husband put the travel bag down and shook the boys hands individually.
I kissed them all tenderly and felt them hug and squeeze me back. We got in the car and I opened the window as my man turned the car around. The boys waved and smiled and it was James who said "we'll never forget you."
"I know you won't" I said as we drove away.
